CHALLENGE

During this graphic design internship with Veritiv’s Corporate Communications team, multiple internal departments and C-suite executives sought out a variety of visual communication materials for high-level multi-platform campaigns. Several of these campaigns’ design processes required management from conception to completion.

Veritiv’s Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion (DE&I) team worked closely with Corporate Communications to develop a strategic plan for the company-wide launch of Employee Resource Groups (ERGs). This poster was designed to garner interest and generate excitement among employees in the months leading up to launch day.

The ERG logo and most of the body copy was provided as is. The headline, chat bubbles, and call to action contain original, self-written copy.

This poster was printed and distributed to all U.S.-based offices and warehouse locations, and the Spanish- and French-translated versions of the poster were printed and distributed to Veritiv's Mexico and Canada locations, respectively.

Employee Referral Program

In early 2022, Veritiv’s Human Resources department announced a significant change to its employee referral program: an increase to $5,000 in referral bonus money. As a result, the Talent Acquisition team sought a refreshing update to its lineup of print visuals, including postcard mail-outs and office posters.

 

The copy was provided as is in English, Spanish, and French. The English-translated postcard and poster were designed first and thus served as the primary vision for the campaign. The Spanish- and French-translated posters featured different images to reflect the different currencies.

 

The English-translated postcard was printed and distributed to all U.S.-based employees' homes, and the English-translated poster was printed and distributed to all U.S.-based offices and warehouse locations. The Spanish- and French-translated versions of the poster were printed and distributed to Veritiv's Mexico and Canada locations, respectively.

Employee Appreciation Day

Every year, Veritiv recognizes Employee Appreciation Day to honor the hard work and impact of its employees. The day celebrates employee engagement and continuous positive growth at the company. Each year, Corporate Communications breathes new life into the campaign’s visuals.

 

The letter from CEO Sal Abbate was provided in English, Spanish, and French, and the postcard was designed and translated accordingly. The cover image was posted to Veritiv's social media accounts on March 4, 2022, and multiple C-suite executives and senior leaders, including Abbate, posted the graphic to Veritiv's intranet platform and to their own social media accounts.

 

The English-translated postcard was printed and distributed to all U.S.-based employees' homes, and the Spanish-translated and French-bilingual versions of the postcard were printed and distributed to employees' homes in Mexico and Canada, respectively.
